How can Immigrants and Students get a Driving License in NSW?

If you have come to NSW as a student, for a business trip, or maybe just to stay longer than 3 months, then you can apply for a driving license in NSW. At Safe Skill Sydney Driving School our driving instructors can guide you in a detailed manner on how you could apply for a driving license.

- Please note that your Overseas Driving license is valid in NSW, provided that you hold a current eligible overseas license.
- With an overseas license, you can drive on NSW roads with a condition that you follow the driving rules and regulations.
- If you belong to Japan, the USA, Canada or any of the European nations, then you need not attempt the Driving Knowledge Test. Immigrants from other nations have to pass this test.
- After a tenure of 3 months, you can either apply for a temporary driving license or a permanent one.
- Your overseas license has to be in English. Otherwise, visit the consulate and do the needful to procure a translated one.
